As the Technology Director for our managed services, you'll:

  • Provide leadership and direction for the entire Managed Services/Solutions team, from pre-sales analysts to post sales deployment.
  • Develop and oversee the managed services processes and procedures, internal cross department communications and engagements.
  • Develop and implement technology roadmaps.
  • Oversee a department that puts IT in a business context for the client and translates client's business pain into a technology solution.
  • Engage business owners and c-level clients in conversations about their business strategies and recommended technological solutions.

To be successful in this role you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, IT, Business or equivalent
  • Previous experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) with a very strong understanding of the MSP model, pricing and best practices.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience such as IT Consultant, IT Manager, Network Administrator, SME, VCIO, or Network Engineer, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • An exceptionally strong IT background with a focus on implementation, consulting and/or design of technologies for businesses ranging from 30 200 users, including multi-site environments.
  • A good understanding of common SMB business/ technology needs and technology solutions to address those needs.
  • A thorough understanding of external internet and phone service providers.
  • The ability to use a consultative sales approach to sell value by helping others see the need for a comprehensive managed IT solution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Certifications such at A+, Net+, CDIA+, CCNA, and MCSE, MCITP, or MCSA are preferred.
  • Training, certifications or experience with HTG, SLI or TrueMethods are a plus.
