Position Summary

 This position is responsible for providing onsite escalation support to our IT Services clients on a variety of advanced issues by applying an understanding of networks, computer hardware and software.  Individuals in this role will also utilize knowledge of best practices to provide optimal information technology solutions.  This role is responsible for maintaining excellent customer support as well as learning to apply our technology stack to the customer's environment.  Duties include, but are not limited to the discovery, installation, configuration, maintenance and monitoring of the customers network environments.  This role is also responsible for mentoring other members of the organization in their advancement and the development of specific technologies

 

Essential Functions

Installation and Configuration

  • Discovers, installs and configures hardware and software solutions to deliver an IT Services Product
  • Maintains solutions in an effort to minimize downtime or remedy an issue

 

Administration

  • Establishes and maintains network environment documentation, directories and security
  • Responds to the miscellaneous needs and questions of the customer concerning their access to network resources and the operation of various systems/applications
  • Participates in the business continuity and disaster recovery planning activities

    Development and Mentorship
  • Selecting a specific core technology to develop the expertise and be the go-to person for that product knowledge.
  • Mentoring of individuals as needed.

    Position Qualifications:

     Education: Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or other Information Technology-related discipline.

      

    Experience: 3+ years' experience in Information Technology Services delivery discipline

     Computer Skills Desired: Server and Desktop Hardware, Microsoft Products (Server/Desktop Operating Systems, Office Suite, etc.), Hypervisor Administration (VMware, Hyper-V), Networking Products, IP Telephony Concepts and Administration, Familiarity with Network Backup and Disaster Recovery, Experience with the ConnectWise and SolarWinds N-Central RMM are a plus

     Certificates and Licenses Desired: Microsoft MCSE/MCSA/MCITP, VMWare VCP, Fortinet, Net+

     Other Requirements: Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical users, Ability to train others, Contributes to team building activities, Work effectively as a member of the Information Technology Group, Actively listen to others, Manage own role and responsibilities, Work independently to accomplish goals, Effective communicator, Ability to travel locally (day trips).
